Meet Dr. Ted Cooper
Dr. Ted Cooper received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and then went on to receive his MBA from Northwestern University. Dr. Cooper graduated Cum Laude from the Southern College of Optometry, where he received the Clinical Compassion Award and the Clinical Science Award.
Dr. Cooper is proud to have been voted one of "America's Top Optometrists" for the past four years. Also, he works with the Toyos Clinic as a laser surgery consultant. He is a member of several organizations including the American Optometric Association, the AOA Contact Lens and Cornea Section, and the Tennessee Optometric Association.
Dr. Cooper's partner in this family owned practice is his wife of 24 years, Julia. His older daughter, Kelly, is a freshman at Samford College in Birmingham, who works at the practice on holidays and in the summer. His younger daughter, Natalie, a 5th grader at Dogwood Elementary mans the phone at the office on Saturdays. The Coopers have lived in Germantown for 9 years, and are active in the local community and with their church, Hope Presbyterian.
Meet Laurie Dickan
Laurie competently manages many roles for Dr. Cooper, including office manager, frame and contact lens buyer, and optical stylist. She also models our most fashionable Calvin Klein and Coach frames while at the office. Her husband John, is a field manager for a local construction company, and they have a daughter, Allie, a third grader at Bailey Station Elementary, who is an outstanding cheerleader. Allie helps out at the office,too, sometimes. Laurie also has two older sons, Anthony and Nathan, who attend Lausanne School.
